Nano tank-where to order?

The Fluval EBI I bought arrived shattered. The company has no more of them so I got a refund. I have everything that came with the tank. 13 watt light, 4.4 lb bag of Stratum, filter...that is all that is useful pretty much.

So my choices are either get another EBI from somewhere else, get a Flora, or a different brand. I don't want to go smaller than 8 gallons and have a $100 budget to stick to.

Any ideas? I prefer glass over acrylic and am only interested in rimless.

I want to grow some med to high light plants like hairgrass, but am not planning on doing CO2 yet.

You can get the Ebi from a number of retailers. Here are a few:

Big Al's
Drs. Foster & Smith
Pet Mountain
Petstore.com
That Pet Place
Amazon

And most other aquatics retailers.

I realize that, I'm just nervous about it arriving broken...

Also, after reading some more about the EBI/Flora, I'm wondering if it is the best tank for the money.

What are your specific concerns and what do you desire in a tank?

Since you have a light and filter already, what about a Mr. Aqua rimless? They have a 7.5 gallon cube, 7.5 gallon bow front, and an 11 gallon rectangle. Marine Depot has them all for $50 or less.I had a glass tank (an Eheim Aquastyle) shipped from them and I think the thing could have gone through a tornado and not been broken. It was in three boxes and had enough packing peanuts to fill up multiple garbage bags. Granted they are really close to me, so it only takes a day. It would have a lot further to travel to get to Pa.

+1 on Mr. Aqua tanks. Great clarity for the price and they're really sturdy.

Well I ended up ordering a second Ebi. Hopefully this one doesn't arrive broken. If it does I'll probably go to a Mr. Aqua high clarity cube and order from MarineDepot.

Skip the ebi and grab a Mr. Aqua from marinedepot if you're looking for a great rimless nano on a budget. They ship fast, cheap, and tons of padding!

Edit: seems we replied at the same time lol
