10 Gallon Tank Filter

Hello its the new guy,

I am all gung ho for started a 10 gallon planted aquarium!!

But I need advice for a filter I hear Cannister is the way to go but I see a lot of them are for larger tanks.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a cannister filter for a small tank? I dont want the flow to destroy my plants of stress the fish.

Also any good suggestions for an AGA that is about that size?

Thank you!

AGA? Despite the tank seeming small, I'd still recommend an Eheim 2213. You want good flow and if it's too much you can easily throttle it back. However, it should be about perfect for this size tank if you aim the flow right.

Eheim 2213 is a great size for 10gal tanks.

Flow from the spraybar won't cause any problems in the tank and it can even be dialed back a bit (the flow) with included quick-disconnect valves.

But there are tons of canister filters on the market.

I use an Eheim 2232 on a 7.9G and flow is great. I second the reccomendation for a 2213 or 2232.
