New shrimp bowl!!!!

This is my lastest scape ,I started it in April from scratch with potting soil capped with sand with various plants from other tanks, so far its pretty low maintainace , 50 watt halagen desk lamp and small internal filter , oringinal inhabitant was a female betta but moved her out to then place 4 young RCS in and now have about a hundred my shrimps seem to breed better here than in my other shrimp only tanks make a perfect bedside lamp , critque welcome , please excuse the mass of snails I have cleared alot of them now and introducing Pilli puss in her favourate position enjoy x

I would love to try a shrimp bowl but I have 3 cats. Do you need to keep an eye on the bowl with the cat around?

Shrimp and bowls go really really well together. Shrimp have very little bioload, feed on anything really and are rather undemanding, well the neocaridinas like cherries, oranges, rilis, blue pearls, etc... i had my bowl running without a heater and filter for several months through winter, if that gives you an idea. If not for me overpopulating the bowl, i wouldnt have added the azoo palm filter but its there and it seems to circulate the water quite nicely without overpowering it. Its an easy way to get into shrimp keeping. they are beautiful creatures.
