Bowl question

I have been seeing all of these great bowls and am thinking of putting one together. My biggest question/issue is: do any of you have pets, particularly cats? How do you keep them from drinking out of the bowl?

I have a bowl just for the cats(+some plant clippings/duck weed). They don't touch the other bowls.

An other option is to but glass pot lids on the bowls. I use one on a vase to to prevent jumpers.

Does enough air get in? I was thinking of using one of the cool looking glass beverage dispensers but wasn't sure if having a lid was OK.

A separate bowl for the cats is an interesting idea

i have a desklamp directly over my bowl. having the bowl capped isnt a great idea as it would inhibit the oxygen exchange significantly.

The lid that i use have two small holes, one steam hole and one where the knob was, and that seems to be enough.

And cool idea to use a beverage dispenser.
