~~~~2.5~~~~
Decided on what to do with this 2.5, I have decided to keep it simple for the time being with mostly just Java and Fissiden Moss. If the moss continues to grow well then I will also use it to keep cherry babies....or maybe chocolate shrimp, haven't decided on that yet.
Water is tinted yellow because I seeded the tank with some of my shrimp bowl water.
Finally found a use for the DW
Had to weight down the fissiden mat with a Java Rock.
All the Java Rocks have shown tremendous growth so far
EDIT: Took out the DW and am currently waterlogging dif. DW cause the original one had bird-poop on it.......
hahaha,
I just chucked the piece of DW I am going to use in our pond. Also added a 5-15 aqueon filter I had. Will have to post some pics later.
Mosses are recovering nicely from a bad case of algae
This mesh monstrosity is finally starting to grow through the mesh.
I want to get Fluval Stratum Since I love seeing that black substrate in other peoples tanks. But I just have to find out where to get some now.....
Put the 2 "fissiden rocks" and 1 other "java rock" that were in my shrimp bowl into the 2.5g, you really couldn't see them and the fissidens weren't doing too well so I officially gave up on moss in the bowl and now the 2.5g is solely going to have the moss. Also should be buying some weeping moss and maybe some more fissidens.
(the Java Rock from the bowl is the one in the front right corner, really full)
