My first 10 gallon: Start Up Questions

Hello everyone,

I am starting my first 10 gallon and have some questions on my setup.

Would an eheim 2213 be too much outflow for most plants and fish in a 10 gallon? I am thinking of having a beta and community fish with the tank, some HC, and maybe some other plants in the background. I'm just not sure if I would need something with more or less GPH.

For my heater I am planning on running a Hydor ETH 200 In-Line Heater from whatever canister filter works best for my tank.

Lighting will consist of a Archaea 36W power compact light fixture.

If I am planning on having plants would they need to be high light if I used this fixture?

I am hoping to run CO2 as well, which should help my plant growth, but I have no specs on CO2 setups that would work, just yet.

As a final question, would all of these elements work well in a Beta/community fish/HC/High Light Plant tank?

I recommend the Eheim 2211. For 10 gallons that one would be the most appropriate.

I have both of those filters. I would do the 2213, especially with the inline heater.

Awesome, thanks for the input! I'll probably try out the 2213 and see how it works.
