Lighting for miniBow

I've posted this before in the lighting section but I'm thinking I might have better luck here...

I don't know anything about LEDs and I know a lot of people use them for nano tanks so I'm looking for some advice.

I'm trying to upgrade the lighting in my 2.5 gallon miniBow. The bulb that's currently in there is a ZooMed 10W and with a PAR meter I'm getting a reading of below 20 at the substrate, so I figure I can upgrade a bit and still stay low-light.

The fixture is just a regular screw-in socket, so I found this while browsing online and wondered if either of these would work:

Would either of these in "cool white" (5900K) be any good for a planted tank?

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm going to be starting a 5 gallon minibow in the next few weeks and was looking for lighting options. The specs seem to be right.

You could try this for the 5 gallon and see if it's enough

My fixture is only rated for 15 Watts and it's too small to fit the bulb in but I've moved the bulb socket over to the right and I might try to get the 20watt in there anyway.

Nobody? I know next to nothing about LEDs, I was just hoping someone could tell me if I should try this or not.

I just realized those links no longer work. Here's one that works if anybody wants to chime in.
