John's 10" Nano Cube (Approx. 4.33g) (Moss Question)

Well, I have my eye on a nano cube and will set it aside until I have some free time. The nano cube is a 10"x10"x10"x10" made, and black frame molded by http://www.qualityangels.com . Since this tank is small, it will be in my room sort of as a office tank, but my room isn't an office ^_^. I will probably get a black, lamp clip on 10-15w flourescent, unless I find a hood that can fit into this tank =). For filtration will most likely be a carib sea nano palm filter, but I am not sure how this will work with what I have plan for the tank.

Speaking of plan, this tank will pretty much be a moss tank. Will cut out a 9 1/2"x9 1/2"x9 1/2"x9 1/2" plastic mesh, and will be attached some moss to it. Has anyone here experienced a moss wall w/ a filter near it?

As for foreground, I will pretty much do it same but attach the suction cups to the bottom of the tank.

WOW!!! A four dimensional aquarium!! That is so cool!

Sorry, I just couldn't resist. Seriously, that's a cool size, I'd love to find one like it. Good luck.

My tank should be in the process of being made sometime next week, my friend hasn't got the shippment of glass yet.

I have one question, instead of making a moss wall have anyone ever tried making a moss substrate?

I'd love to see a picture of the tank. It's got to be wild based on the dimensions. Kinda not fun to have to try to dig thru an unfamilliar website to try to guess which one might be yours.

I think what everyone is getting at is that it is impossible for a tank to be 10x10x10x10 . . . A 10" cube is length, 10, width, 10, height, 10. Thus we call it 10x10x10 . . . and everyone is pointing out that there cannot be a fourth dimension to the tank by normal human standardss . . .

Unless the fourth dimension is time! and the 4th 10 you wrote mans it lasts 10 years or something like that. :P

Anyway, sounds like a cool tank to work with. Cubes are great. It's just my opinion that moss walls are really not that attractive in an aquarium . . . see, the goal in most aquaria, especially nanos, is to make the aquarium look BIGGER than it actually is. If you do a moss wall, it draws attention to the wall of the tank, thus drawing the viewer to the fact that the tank is a small limited space-- instead of allowing him to let his imagination wander around the display.

Yeah I meant 10x10x10 tank, I don't know why I added that forth dimension >_<. I've always wanted a moss wall, so thats my plan for this tank. I don't really mind much about making the tank seem bigger than it actually is, but thats just me.
