I've been thinking of setting up a 2.5g bowfront nano tank, partially as a quarantine tank for ghost shrimp and possibly feeder guppise when the time comes, but mostly to see if I can do a really nice nano tank using exclusively plants "born" in my main tank.
My main question is about substrate depth. I'm going to upgrade from my existing ten to a thirty. I'm going to use flourite and Onyx sand and I'd like to know how much flourite to set aside for the future Nano tank (I'd like to go with just flourite and possibly a bit 'O' latterite as well)
does anyone know what type of light is in the hood of the eclipse 3? (just something else I've been kicking around.
Also, does the 2.5 minibow set come with a plant light? If not, I plan on putting it on my nightstand with a 13w CF desk lamp over it.
How does one go about getting the appropriate amount of CO2 in a nano tank?
I'm sure theres alot of other considerations that I haven't taken into account, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
