The Puffer Habitat

Hey guys-- I decided to try a biotope tank, and decided to go with Asia. I tried to be as skeptic as possible, as close to "found together in the wild!" as possible.

Java Ferns
Java Moss
Aponogetan Crispus

Dwarf Puffer (3)

Front of the tank:

Side (can you see the puffer?):

Hope you guys liked this! I actually like the look. There is no filtration, but I do water changes 3 times a week, because the wood and leaves release a lot of tanins. The leaves make the water soft and acidic.

I think it looks great! I love how natural it looks...

I'd really suggest having filtration because it will really help just get it cleaner and thats so much better for your plants and puffers... however, if you don't you probably want to do at least 20% water changest 2-3 times a week.
