Purple Nano 1 gal

My betta Sleet has upgraded to a 1 gal filtered Red Sea tank with it's own matching light. Here's some pix. It's in eco-complete, w/ java moss, moss ball, coffeefolia, and wateryamajiggett:

It looks gorgeous. Why is the water level so low? Your Betta a jumper?

Edit: Just saw the previous home for Sleet. You figure they are the same volume? I kinda liked the old container too, but the new one matches nicely with the lamp. And your new scapeing is much better. If you want to keep that gradient to the substrate (nice touch by the way) you might want to place a couple of small rocks to shore it in place.

Let's just say Sleet and I go way back and she gets so enthusiastic when I come in "her" bathroom she leaps for joy. Or annoyance? So I've had to rescue her from my cosmetics basket from time to time and once off my genuine Plastic Tiara. Normally the tank is covered...

This nano thing is a fun experiment and I just keep moving things and plants around until I like 'em. This one is a larger tank than the TLC glassware I got from the lab by maybe 12 oz. I'm sure the planting will grow in a bit if I leave it alone!

Very nice! I like the aquascaping, having the plants break the surface is really visually appealing.

Hey Figgy

I am thinking of buying a few of those 1 gallon nano setup's for my betta's.
How do you like them and how often do you do a water change and how much water do you replace.
Also did you buy your's from petco? That's where I found them online.

Just in from vacation...

Yes! I love this little nano set-up and so does my betta. I got it at Petco. I take a measuring cup and scoop out a cup of water once a week and replace it. I set it up with a piece of sponge from another established tank and it's running just fine. I wish I had places for more!
