DIY Upgrade for my 5g tank

Anyone seen these before? They're pretty popular in Hawaii. The "Kotobuki" fixture, perfect for providing medium-low light to small tanks. It houses 1 thirteen watt flourescent bulb. I've been using it over my 5g for quite a while-- but I wanted more light.

Here's what it looks like underneath. I decided I'd keep the reflector and body because I kind of like the look. Also don't want to make a new one.

Stripped everything out.

Heh heh heh, wire the old cord to a new dual socket with two 19w power compact daylight bulbs . . .

Back in goes the reflector and secure everything.

Look! I can use the pull string for on/off!

Still working on the curtain to block out pesky light to me. I know I'm losing a lot of the light as it flies off in different directions-- but 38 watts is way too much for a 5g anyway. Maybe with the inefficiency I end up at just about right. It LOOKS really bright inside the tank now! Really good lighting!!

I bought one and just left the PC in there. Have it over an old eclipse tank I was given and needed a light for (didn't come with a hood or anything) Not a bad light, I want to wire another pc into it though.
