My first bowl

So I decided over the weekend that it would be a great time to set up a bowl for shrimp. This is my first nano tank and I'm stoked about it! It sits on my desk next to my iMac.

Plants: Crypt Parva (thanks to dogfish), Rotala Verticillaris, and Hornwort (floating)

I used 1-1.5" of MGOPS and 1" of Flourite/Pea Gravel as a cap. I still need to put the Cholla wood in here as well that I got from dogfish.

Well, that would be it for now. I'll keep this updated as time progresses

looks like a good start. how do you plan on trimming the stem plant without upsetting the substrate?
also real floating plants like frogbit or salvinia are better imo than hornwort.

I don't think I'll upset it at all when trimming, but I could be wrong. First go around at this, I'll learn from my mistakes (as most people do)

Probably some red cherry shrimp and I've been told those are the hardiest. Figured I'd start with that and if I really like them, I can get others
