Shrimp skins in Walstad bowls, take 'em or leave 'em?

I have a filterless 12 inch Walstad bowl with three cherries in it. Should I pick up the cherry's clothes when they leave them on the substrate, or just forget about them to help with whatever it is going on chemically?

you can do either. if you already use tap water that may have calcium and such traces in it then you might take them out with water changes otherwise just leave them in there, they wont damage the water.

i have never seen any of my shrimp touch any molts for the past 2 years that i've kept them, but they might do that if they feel like it.
