BioCube Madness

Holo! Quite the site you guys have here, lots of stuff to digest and figure out for sure. Hopefully you'll be able to assist me in my planted tank endeavors.

I recently just got a 14gal BioCube from Oceanic. Great tank, absolutely loving it despite its small size.

For substrate I've got EcoComplete as the base with medium gravel on top in some parts, and sand in the other.

I switched out the actinic blue 24watt compact that came with it for another 24watt 10K compact. So I've got two 10K 24watt bulbs on the tank.

My question is what type of plants would I be able to grow under those conditions, and since there is so much light am I going to have to substitute CO2?

Its my gfs tank, so I am trying to keep it as low maintenance as possible, but will do what is necessary to make it flourish.

Thanks!

I am not sure. I have looked everywhere just about trying to find some 6700K but just haven't been able to find them. They are small bulbs, 13 or 14", and are four pin compacts.

Any idea on where I could get some?

It will make everything tall? If I had 6700K in there I could have shorter, more spread out plants?

What would be a good CO2 kit? Or should I just do the pop bottle method?

If you want to spend a lot of money go with the CO2 tank method. If you want to keep it reasonably cheap, go with DIY CO2 and a diffuser. Personally, I'd start with DIY and decide later if you want to spend more money on it. You should be able to get pretty decent results with a tank that small with just DIY.

Two 1 GA desktops, a 5 gallon, a 2.5 gallon, a 10 gallon, a 20 gallon, a 25 gallon, and two 75 gallon tanks, all planted.
I am an expert on algae, so ask me if you have questions. I know how to grow it, just not how to get rid of it.

ahsupply dot com has 6500k.. but i also have the specs you have, except i still have the actinic light in.. i have a DIY co2 with a hagen as a diffuser, but i'm just days away from upgrading to a paintball system..

problems that can occur is algae, and if you get plants that has BBA would be a death sentence.. anyway, that's my piece..

and yeah, i've grown dwarf sag and glosso..
