Spec = perfect fry tank! :]

So, i discovered some nano-sized fish in my big tank:

somewhere over there in the red bits..

and moved them over to my Spec:

so, now I have a nano-molly and a nano-skirt tetra residing in there..

SOO MUCH TINY-NESS!

Spec is a nice little tank. Never thought about using it to rear fry though.

Had to have, but I only found the one fry. I've had the tank in operation for months, so a dont see how this little fellow (1/4 inch) snuck in any other way.

You're one lucky dude. I read spawning tetras involved a complicated light and dark cycle to hatch the fry. Are thoose the black widow tetra/black skirt tetra?

Yup. Just blind luck, and a nice, dark, shaded part of the tank where they can go be romantic..

Correct about the species - Black skirt, I have one that has the longer fins of a Black Phantom.. but it appears sorta in-between..
