5 gal fancy moss tank...?
So I turned my 10 gal into a galaxy danio and shrimp home. I moved my betts out with a few neons to a 5 gal.
I have a plant substrate and 1 20watt CfL light. Excel for my co2.
I added some cuttings from my 10 gal to the tank for now. I have pennywort, Mayaca fluviatilis ( stream bog moss) and a little bit of Didiplis diandra.
On the way I have flame moss, weeping moss and Fissidens fontanus. I think I will put the Fissidens fontanus in the 10 gal where stuff tends to grow out of control. Then I would move a java moss rock to the 5 gal.
Question: how would Fissidens fontanus do in the low tech tank? What's the best way to tie it down. Also how slow of a grower is it?
The weeping moss is going to be tied to a branch and the flame moss will be on a rock. I going to get some riccia and grow that on a rock too or maybe use it as a carpet.
Any tips for my moss? Does the light seem fine it's a warm color? I have always had great luck with java moss will these types be that different in needs?
