5g DIY Rimless

Decided to take the plunge and try a diy rimless tank. Quite the task, so much silicone residue, cheap glass that seemed to want to chip easily and one cut (from the tank edge not the razor lol). But it does look nice, not perfect for sure but good enough for what i want. Will be a RCS and possible tiger shrimp home in the future. Sponge filter i think this time.
The beginning! Bad picture but it does let you see how clear it is lol.

Very cool! And the black silicon looks quite nice!

Update. I snuck it into the living room on the coffee table while the wife is at work lol. It wont stay here but i had to test it out. Two things, i need a light for it and i dont think i like the sponge filter route lol. Too noisy. Just tossed in some rocks i had leftover from a different scape.

Red sea flora base. Heard it may turn to mud but we'll see.

Keep going--it looks promising. For sure my husband would notice another tank on the coffee table, you might need more stealth in your placement!
