So I‘ve kept many different kinds of tanks for for about 10 years total. Mainly tropical and cold water reef tanks, African cichlids tanks, community tanks, and my first was a low tech planted that I loved. I tried another planted in this same tank 3 years ago and it failed miserably. The reasons for that failure I’ll talk about later. But after a two year layoff from aquariums I’m back. This time I’m trying my hand at a high tech planted. I was inspired by a friend who was starting a 125 South American puffer tank. So when I was helping him research I got to know about Pygmy or pea pufferfish. Then found out that they needed a heavily planted tank. So here is my attempt at doing it right this time. The first pic is of its first days as a I was cycling it and had some plastic coral pieces for fun. And the second one was the first planting along with the wood pieces.
