1.5 pint for growing tissue cultures
So I had some time and I had tissue cultures that I wanted to plant into a new tank I'm setting up but I don't have all the things yet and was worried that my cultures would die as I bought them in a sealed package as a pack of 4. One of the tissue cultures were dead so I get a pretty deep discount. Then another started dying so I decided to do this with the two remaining good plants. It's 1.5 pints by water volume above the substrate.
I guess I'm still trying to decide on the purpose of this thing.
- Maybe I want to let the cultures grow in here as emersed growth then transfer them to my new tank when larger and less squiggly as they were smushed into a tiny tiny container.
- Maybe I'll just keep it as a desktop potted vase. The plants will grow out of the water and should look pretty cool especially when the dwarf grass fills out. I can then use it as a clipping source to plant new plants.
- Maybe this is dumb and I just plant it in a real tank.
What do you guys think? Any votes on what I should do with it?
(I lost the packaging and forgot what the plants were. I'm going back to that LFS this week and will look at the others)
