I want to do something similar. How many do you have in that tank? All males?

@pjnelson50 I can't see any females in the picture.

Here's a photo of a male and female from my endlers for reference:

I tried photographing my endlers but they are difficult with the lens I have. I ended up with a full tank shot instead but they are in frame...just kinda... blurry.

I have mine in a Fluval Spec V. I have only had them for a little over a month. Before that I had a betta in this tank but he ultimately did not work out and was re-homed. Current stocking is 8 male endlers, 3 nerites, 5 blue dream shrimp, and 2 cherry shrimp. Plants include a few different crypts, some kind of relatively small growing vallisneria, java moss, amazon sword, dwarf hair grass (not doing so hot), java fern (probably stunted by mistreatment on my part - but not dead yet!), and giant duckweed as the floater. The light is a lumini Asta 20. I dose Excel and Flourish on weekly water changes. So far very happy with this tank and the endlers are fun.

My daughter (age 2) kinda lost it when she found out the betta was gone though. She doesn't really care about the endlers. In future tanks I will need a feature fish to get her attention.

@shattersea they're blue star endlers. N-class rather than hybrids, so they're not as flashy as some of the other breeds out there, but I like them.

Just sold the vast majority of mine and have split up the remaining males and females, but here's another pic:

They do take a little while to mature - the double-sword male pictured previously is the same as the one in this photo, and I'd guess he's around 2 years old. All other males are 6-8 months old and only just starting to get flashier.
