brainstorming for a high tech, low maintenance tank
Iíve been itching to get back into the aquaria hobby. I wanted to do a nice planted tank but I wanted to minimize maintenance.
I decided to try dosing bio avail carbon on a pump to automate the process long term. This way I wonít have to worry about aeration and water chemistry issues associated with co2 injection.
I am using a standard 5.5 rect tank with a fluval plant nano light. Iím not really sure whether to call it medium or high lighting for such a setup. I did build a reflective cover which should redirect some of the escaping light.

I realize some plants donít take well to excel type products, so I was curious if anyone had some plant suggestions that would thrive in this setup but be medium growers, so as to minimize maintenance... looking for some background plants and something to carpet the foreground.
