Hey guys so I started a 10x10x10 cube shrimp tank, I began it has a dry start trying to get monte carlo to carpet which went well. Three weeks ago I flooded the tank and I am starting to have issues. Currently I am battling BGA, it has slowed down but I cannot get rid of it and it is wrapping up the plants and is pretty unsightly. I have been using the Blue green slime remover I got from my LFS and read reviews on amazon. My next issue is that I am starting to get ammonia in the tank which I have never had an issue of, I believe this is because i am having trouble gravel vaccing the tank without taking all half the water in two seconds. I am dosing the tank with Flourish excell, and just Flourish, priming water with Prime. CO2 is around 1drop/sec. All advise is welcomed! This is my first planted aquarium and I know nanos are difficult, just looking to learn! I have no room for a bigger tank.
Below I will try to post pictures and show the equipment I am using.
2 male guppies - I know this tank may be a little small but they helped the cycle and idk what I plan to do
2 Nerite snails
Want to add Cherry Shrimp
Monte carlo - most of the "carpet" doing really well! no complaints
Dwarf Baby Tears - tried adding after flooding and it just hasnt taken off **Covered in BGA
Dwarf Hair grass- added 3 days ago doing well
Tall grass plant idk what it is, but it blocks filter well
Marimo Moss ball
Corner sponge filter
I started with this one on a mount during dry start
A little below 1drop/sec using a paintball rig
