Cool build. Looks well crafted. All things look in proportion, and built to last. The hardscape looks like a good start, too. Maybe your first planted tank, but looks like you’ve made a sump before.
I couldn’t see at first how the bottom vented tray was removable - looks like you have a clear rim to hold it. Right?
My only critical thought: you may need to adjust the pitch between the two vertical plates, for flow rate. How/when will you do that?
I’m guessing the heater would go in the second chamber, with the pump? The water level may not get much above the second vertical panel, which might require a shorter heater, depending on minimum water level for that unit. I’m curious what you picked for that.
I’m also looking forward to see your light choice, and plant layout.
