Fluval Spec 3 Light Bracket Removal ???

I would like to put a different light on a Spec-3 2.6 gallon and was wondering if anyone had ever successfully removed the light bracket that was glued to the back.

I just put a different light on my Spec 3 without removing the bracket.

Have you succumbed to the pleasure of Multiple Tank Syndrome? I feel your pain!
