Co2 set up is giving me a headache

Hi everyone, I love fish and have had many tanks over many years.
I have never wanted a planted tank but ....... I started with some small plants and my wife loves the plants and based on that she is letting me set up a co2 system (and then another tank) so I started using a can that you push the button and fill a canister in the tank but drop checker is blue so not enough co2 in the tank. I started looking into pressurised systems. I don't have a massive amount of room so I'm getting a sodastream gas bottle. I have a inline diffuser and I'm waiting for my gauge with solenoid and bubble counter to come. This is where I'm confussed what do i need to connect the gauge to the bottle somewhere I read that I needed a permaseal? On top of that what hose do I need and where can I get it? I'm a wheelchair user so find it really hard to go to store and ask there. The one day I felt up to it the lad who uses co2 pressurised systems was on a day off which is just my luck lol. So what this massive post boils down to is:

What do I need to connect a regulator gauge to a soda stream bottle? And

What hose do I need to run from the bubble counter to the defuse? And

Where do I buy it?

Please and thank you

By gauge do you mean a co2 regulator? Ive never seen a soda stream bottle but is it anything like the paintball bottles that many people use...kinda like this

Please link the regulator you purchased. If it's a CGA-320 connection and you're in the US, I would recommend just going with a 5 lbs CO2 tank. I did the SodaStream deal for a while, very expensive going that route over the long run. Refills are far too expensive. Room might be scarce, but I'd sacrifice a little bit for a larger canister.

Agreed. Highly recommend a 5lb CO2 tank.

The line that goes from the CO2 tank, connects to the Bubble Counter on the side with the CO2 dispenser line in the counter......make sense? The CO2 from the tank has to go directly into the Counter. That means that the other line from the Bubble Counter, connects to the Diffuser.

20G long / Finnex Planted + / Marineland C-160 / Tunze Regulator / Fluval Bubble Counter / Cobalt Neo-Therm Heater / Koralia 240 / Rhinox Drop Checker
