Marsilea Crenata + Walstad method?

Is Marsilea Crenata (Dwarf Four Leaf Clover) compatible with the Walstad Method's top sand/gravel layer?

I bought 40 nodes (grown submerged) and the stems are barely half an inch.

Will I have success if I plant them in just the top layer?

My guess is it'll grow okay. I have some marsilea hirsuta in some sand-capped dirt and I'm seeing healthy new growth. No CO2, but I do have a filter on it so it's lowtech and not walstad.

Thank you for the confirmation. Very much appreciated!

This morning, I set up my first no-tech, 4 gallon cube (no filter, no heat, no light).

I'll plant the Marsilea Crenata in it tomorrow. (I've temporarily planted the Crenata nodes in my high-tech 30 gallon, to give them a little boost, before I plant them in the cube.)

The cube is in a room with 7 large south- and west-facing windows (so lots of indirect natural light). We'll see how it goes.

Thanks again!
Dimitri
