How to figure if i have high or low tech light

Hey I have a 10g using fluval stratum substrate I have 4 Amazon swords and carpeting monte carlo, im using a aquaticlife 2 t5 18w ho one with 6000k rosetta bulb it's from a nano reef I had, would this be considered high light? I'm dosing flourish excel every other day and using root tabs. Thanks.

2 x T5-HO over a 10 gallon is very high light.

Excel needs to be dosed daily.

Those swords will make short work of the room a 10 gallon offers.

Okay thanks, yeaa I could see that now I have them as a background once I start adding c02 I'm sure they would take over the tank. Should I stop dosing once I add c02?

You can keep dosing it using it as an algaecide, but with that much light and CO2 you'll need to start dosing N, P, K and micro's or else the plants will be starved of nutrients.

Gotcha, do you have an affordable c02 system in mind or could a diy method be fine? Flourish Trace would be micronutrients no?

Affordable regulators for paintball tanks should work on smaller tanks.

Yes flourish comp. is a good source of micros.
