Hello, I'm preparing to venture into a planted aquarium for the first time. Currently I have a 65 gallon in my living room with artificial plants. I spent a few weeks browsing nano aquariums and fell in love with the shape and look of the 12 gallon long. After doing a ton of research I still have as many questions as I do answers lol.
So I'll start with what I know
Tank - 12 Gallon Long 35.5" x 7.9" x 9.9"
Filtration - Fluval 106 (I have the 406 on my 65 gallon and trust their filters)
Heat - Hydor ETH Inline 200w heater
CO2 - The only thing I know is that I want it to be inline after the heater (not sure if I'll need to upgrade to the fluval 206 because of possible flow reduction?)
Substrate - Fluval plant and shrimp stratum
lighting - I am considering either the Finnex Planted + 24/7 cc or the new Fluval Plant Spectrum 3.0 Bluetooth
Plants - The only thing I know is that I want to attempt a baby tears carpet and then some sort of tree with plants attached to the branches
Animals - RCS, pygmy corys, otto cats, nerite snails (possibly endlers or celestial pearl danios)
What I don't know...
What equipment to buy for CO2 and where to get it.
How much will having inline heater and co2 diffuser impact outflow of filter
What types of fertilizers would I need and which brand is recommended for them
Are there any stand recommendations for this size aquarium?
Where can I find a bonzai tree short enough to fit in this aquarium and what should I attach to it's limbs?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated and I'm sure I'll have a million other questions as some of these are answered lol.
