Finished my slate Fluval Spec! Need opinions on driftwood: yes or no?

Hello! I'm excited about my first planted tank. I just about finished my new Fluval Spec

(This temporary zebra seems to like having the tank to himself despite being a schooling fish )

So far I have:
Eleocharis Parvula
Anubias Nana
Amazon sword
Marimo Moss balls (there are like 5 behind the rocks, I have quite a few, whoops)

So, with that said, I was wondering if I should add some driftwood, kind of emerging from behind the slate. I feel like something should go in the middle. Id rather not plant anything tall there because I am aiming to have my hair grass make a thick carpet. Or do you think I should leave it be? Let me know!

Looks nice. I like the background lighting effects. Something in the middle seems reasonable - but could also cut down on the appearance of depth. Maybe a few spindly twisty branches? I think I’d suggest keeping it fairly sparse, focusing on the sides and carpet.
My amazon sword took over half my 40b, with leaves spreading across the top. You may need to keep up on trimming it, or pulling leaves that get big. For now, looks to fit perfectly.
I like your slate arrangement. I have sketched up some thoughts for a (currently empty) 55g, with slate on the side like that. I may just keep a copy of your scape to reference.

I can only grow plants when they're completely under water. Everything else is doomed.

Nice tank setup. I especially like the light in the back. I'm no expert but your tank has a very clean minimalist look to it now. I'd leave it for a while and see how your existing plants grow in.
