Plants Pearling - too much?

In the past 2 days my Monte Carlo carpeting plant specifically has been pearling like an airstone. I've been using CO2 injection + Excel.

Anyhow, I know pearling is a good sign of things, but can there be too much? It pearls in a way that it looks like an airstone. I took videos of it, but don't think I can attach here.

Just curious if maybe it is a bad thing.

Upload the video to YouTube and share the link?

Are the plants pearling or streaming? Of it's a constant stream of tiny bubbles floating up through the column - your plants are streaming. If you see larger bubbles stuck to the leaves not moving, your plants are pearling.

Aqua...

Pearling is a way for the aquarium plants to release excess oxygen. I see this in my plants after I perform a large water change. Pearling isn't a bad thing, just how the plants maintain the right amount of oxygen.

...and its only noticeable when your water is at full saturation of O2 already. When lower, the O2 coming off the plants gets absorbed and doesn't cause that cool effect.

"Pearling" after a large water change isn't really true pearling. It's simply the o2 from the tap sticking on the plant leaves and not being instantly absorbed.

True pearling is when the rate of photosythesis is so fast that the o2 released can't be absorbed fast enough. True pearling doesn't require a tank to be fully saturated with o2.

Thanks for clarifying, I didn't realize that. Shame on me for regurgitating info I've heard repeatedly but apparently didn't fully grasp

Eh, it sounded right...
