First scape

Just did my first hardscape, and im pretty satisfied with it.

As seen in the pictures, theres 2 small platforms. I scaped the soil so that it all slowly ramps up to the far end of the tank. 1 contains spiderwood, and a second small one to the side where i plan on putting some long plants (not sure yet what, suggestions?).
Foreground i plan go carpet with monte carlo, with some medium plants against the rocks.
On the plateau with the spiderwood, i plan to grow a type of grass (dwarf hair grass most likely).

Any suggestions in terms of plants would be great! Also, placement of heater and filter, are plants affected a lot by being plantes close to them?
