Retrofitted BioCube 8 or ??

Long time reef aquarist, looking to setup a low tech nano planted FW tank. Just broke down my BioCube 8, and am considering adding a WavePoint Blade 18w 6500k LED light to the BioCube canopy. Advantage of using Biocube is I also have an Intank shelf system that I could use for bio media, purigen, etc.

Guess I am wondering if I'd just be better off purchasing a new nano tank, like Fluval Spec V, or any other recommendations? I'll be populating with easy to grow plants, small fish [neons, cardinals] and some shrimp.

Thanks in advance,

Go with what you already have. If you enjoy it, you can always go bigger/different later.

Hows that old saying go? A bird in hand is worth setting up the biocube..., or something like that...
JBJs are sweet if you want to spend more loot, but about anything else would be a downgrade. Biocubes are great, esp if you have the shelf already. I'd start there, and see what (if anything) you'd do differently once you've got your routine down
