New 3.7, Opinions?

I started this tank less than a month ago and the growth has been strong. I also ran into an algae problem but the amano shrimp and nerve snails cleaned it up pretty well. I still have debris but the tank is cycling well and i have no ammonia or nitrite, trace nitrate, ph of 6.8, but very very hard water. should i be nervous about hard water for shrimp or celestial pearl danios? appreciate any and all advice/opinions!

CPD take the same water that Cherry Shrimp take and a bit softer. You'd need a shoal of 6+ CPD and even then they'll hide most of the time. You'll rarely see them in this tank. You have to have a bigger tank and more of em in before they start to come out. That seems to be the problem with a lot of these nano fish, they need either a shoal or a school in quantities that pretty much makes them useless for a lot of nano tanks under 5g.

Don't ask for advice. Ask for information, gather lots of information from different reliable sources. Then use the information to make your own advice.
