Light question/Growing plants out of water.
I am currently redoing my Current Solo for shrimp. The tank size in 10"Lx10"Wx12"H (5gal.). I have this nice piece of Spider Wood that sticks out of the tank by an inch or two on a couple branches. I think it would look really nice if I didnt trim it but then I cant use the lid/light that came with my current solo.
This tank will be a no CO2/excel, dirt capped with sand, & Low light plants(Anubias, Bruces, Java fern, Bolbitis, Dwarf Sag, & Marsila Crenata).
Water level is 10" above substrate. Clip on 10" Stingray enough? Im currently using stingrays on my 20L and 15 gal. tanks and they work good.
Anyone successfully grow Bolbitis with the leaves out of water on the top of the tank? I know Marsila Crenata will grow in a flower pot outside so it should most definitely grow out of water if I attached it to a branch but I dont think that would look as nice as a Bolbitis growing out the top corner of the tank.
Only a couple tanks.
