Question Light options for nano tank?

Hi everyone,

I have a 12" cube I am starting and just need the light. I will be using C02 and plan on growing a belem and monte carlo carpet.

Does anybody have any lighting suggestions?

Assuming you want value vs high end, 12" Finnex Planted+. Will prob give you medium/high light 12" from your substrate. My S. repens and P. helferi foreground easily pearls when running 0.5-1 bps.

I would suggest taking a look at the Kessil A80 Sun. I have it on my step up and really like it!

Have always wanted a Kessil! How well does this cast light to the sides? Also, it seems like it is a higher temperature for reef/coral. Do you know if there is a model for planted tanks and lower/redder temperatures?

Hi Ibebian,
The Kessil A80 Sun is for a planted tank. The Kessil A80 Tuna Blue is for reef tanks. As far as lighting spread, I wouldn't exceed 16 inches in my opinion. The light intensity and color range is fully adjustable.
