Anybody love to landscape design?

New birthday Spec V. Anybody got a passion for design and want to help me with the scape? Im an experienced fish keeper but fairly new to nano and real plants. Looking to stay all Lo- tech. All stock only. Will house a betta and 2 Amano. Maybe a nerite. Here's what I put in there tonight during set up... Just what I already had so I'm not married to anything...

Eco-complete substrate.

Appreciate the input!!!

Kim

I do, I do!!! Happy Birthday, btw

Looks good, but I think the left wood is a bit too vertical. I would pivot it, so it's pointing just above the hovering Marimo ball. That'll leave a gap in the upper left part of your tank which you could fill in with "taller" plant (like a larger Anubias maybe). Also, it'll give the hardscape a triangular shape which is pleasing to the eye and keeps the eye moving around the tank. Keep us posted

KayakJimW..Thank you for the wishes and the input... The ball has now landed. Randomly on the wood. I'll play around with the wood and see if this narrow Spec V lets me get any V action going. I know I need some tall plants and some other hidey holes for the fauna. I wanted to try something different besides the Java ferns I have in my other Nanos. I'll check out anubias...I've seen something called corkscrew Val which looked appealing...just uncertain if My lo tech tank fits the specs .

Again, thanks for the input keep it coming!
