2.6g Fluval fish? Or no fish...?

Hi all!

I just got a ~2.6g Fluval and am wondering what fish, if any, do you think would be suitable? I'm not really into bettas and would rather stick with pygmy corys or some tetra fry then move them up to our larger 20g or 40g tank as they grow.

I'm OK with shrimp/micro crabs/snails, too, if the consensus is no fish at all. Just wondering what the opinion on fish in a tank that small is. I've read a few conflicting ideas.

Thanks for any advice!

Shrimp or micro crabs would work well. However if you plan on scaping with a lot of hiding places you may not see much of the crabs. I put in 4 of them in a 5 gallon. And they happily went off to live among the roots of my plants never to be seen again. Snails, not so much. They're really pretty messy. Maybe one nerite snail as long as you're willing to scrape off the little white eggs they attach to things.
As far as fish some considerations (as stand alone options):
-A single dwarf puffer
-a couple of endlers
-few least killifish

I've kept 3 endlers and 1 scarlet badis together in the Fluval 2.6g. I really liked that setup and everyone seemed to have enough space.

You can do 3-5 endlers
3 endlers & 1-2 scarlet badis
6 chili rasbora & 1-2 scarlet badis
6 chili rasbora & 1-3 endlers

And you can add cherry shrimp to any of those setups.
