It's 16 x 8 x 10, a standard 5 gallon, I want to use something cheaper, I already have a thing for CFL ready, but I know java moss is low light, but it can be grown just as well using a yellow light?

A standard 5 gallon is a different size over here. Yeah any old light, the plant will produce different protiens to make maximum use of the available light. Day light bulbs are getting more and more common though and they're easier on they eye.

Check out the Hampton Bay full spectrum fixture that a lot of people on here use. It should be perfect for your tank. Sold for $20 at most Home Depot.

That is exactly what I have with my 5.5 nano, and it is a great fixture.

I could not find it when I googled it either, I had to go into a Home depot. They had about 7 in stock when I was in there for mine.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...160_AA160_.jpg I believe this is it, I'm not going to use it though, I already had a CFL ready.

How do I get rid of the smell of playsand in water?

Here's what the tank looks like now

I didn't really know what to do with the Java Ferns, but there is moss under there, believe me, but a lot of it died off, however the moss buried under the rocks are still nice and green.
