Frustrated..

the filter that came with my fluval edge randomly stopped working im not sure what happened but I can get it going again and then starts making a loud motor grinding type of noise which it never did before. I also tried taking it apart and cleaning it aswell, nothing makes a difference. Has anyone else had this problem? or can recommended a better filter?

maybe I did something wrong

Im sure you can find something here, most people change out the light in
those things, they seem to be too powerless.

Hope this works

how old is it? fluvals are spendy pieces of equipment to just go out and replace. i feel ya.

Sounds like you might have a tiny grain of sand or some other gunk in the impeller housing. Take it apart and clean it really good. Look in there (hole the impeller goes in) with a flashlight to make sure you didn't miss something ferrous that could be sticking to the magnet.
