Fluval spec V stock

Hello, so I'm sure most of you have seen 10 stocking questions about these tanks but here's another.

I'm looking to stock it with fish. I don't want to stock with inverts or a betta.
So what other fish could I use?

My first and only thought was a male only endler tank. But I'm open to other fish suggestions. Thanks

Celestial Pearl Danios, Dwarf Rasboras (emerald, kubotai, chili, lambchop), a single Scarlet or Blue Badis, Bumble Bee Goby or my choice PSEUDOMUGIL GERTRUDAE.
Caelan, Caelan, Orpy and 1 others like this.

How many Danios or rasboras would I be able to put in it?

Since most only get an inch long and they school/shoal you would be safe with 5 or 6. I would recommend plants to help the biological filter and to give the fish a more natural habitat.

If you go with micro rasboras (Boraras spp. like brigittae, urophthalmoides, etc.) you can get a group of 10-15 easily. Just be sure to cover the top of the tank! If you go with slightly larger rasboras or danios, I'd stick with 8 or fewer.

Go Timbers

I have 6 microdevario kubotai and 3 hastatus cories in one (along with RCS), and 8 Boraras urophthalmoides in another, also with RCS. Both tanks are well planted.
