My Finnex 4 Gallon

Hey, everyone. I'm new to The Planted Tank but not new to keeping fish. I have a 125 Gal. at my dad's house that has been taking care of for a while but now that I'm away at school, I decided to get a nano tank for my desk. I really like it but brown algae is a problem, I don't like how it's layed out and I think I may just upgrade to an ADA 30-C. What do you guys think?

Tank - Finnex 4 Gal.
Light - standard Finnex light
Filter - Tetra PF-10
Substrate - Not sure it was given to me
Inhabitants - 1 Cherry Barb, 2 Neon Tetra's, 1 Black Fin Tetra, 1 Gold Tetra, and 1 Green Algae Eater.
Plants - Swords, other things and some Dwarf Baby Tears.

You should definitely think about upgrading considering the fish your are keeping. Those fish get fairly large and need more swimming room than the 4 gallon provides.

Nice little nano though.

I agree, that seems like quite a bit of fish for such a small tank.

plants look nice and healthy though.

Like everybody else has said, you need to revise your stocking list. Other thatn that, it looks great! Maybe raise the water a little though.

You need more water in your tank. I find these tanks look best when you have the water level right at the top. On mine, the water evaporates really fast, so I have to keep a small bottle next to it to top it off every now and then.
