Question Nano Newbie

Hi

I've got Anubia Petite and Windelov Fern which are doing great in my nano but my swords are melting / disintegrating.

I was thinking of going down the fertilizer route as I'm not confident in setting up a CO2 system just yet!

Are there any ferts which will not harm my Red Cherry Shrimp?

I'd start off with root tabs, they contain good amounts of chelated iron and other nutrients that swords require (being big root-feeders). You could probably just get away with those planted under the roots. Good luck, and pictures!

(Swords also need good light.)

What type of lighting do you have? Like thewesterngate mention adding some root tabs for the sword may help. If you want a cheap and easy source of CO2, try the DIY CO2 method. It isn't as good as going pressurized, but it works.
