Nano Tanks in progress ...

ok these are my first 2 tanks i have done planted. The first one is my dwarf puffer tank. its divided but so far i like it. its a 6 gallon bowfront.

i really want to put some anubis nana in there, but i cant find any around me and shipping is too expensive for me to justify lol. I am a college student.

and this is the little 2 gal one im workin on. another thing i want anubis nana for. I am ordering the nano filter for it and idk what i am going to stock it with. I am using Flourish on both. let me know what you think. as i said these are both in progress and look terrible compared to what yall have done

Really nice!

I want to plant a small tank, too, so thank you for posting your pics.

I've never had a puffer. Do you recommend them for small tanks? Do they need brackish water?

I recommend the dwarfs for smaller tanks as they need 5 gals for the first fish and 3 for every additional. they LOVE heavilly planted tanks. they need the plants for a break in the line of sight so that if there is more than one puff in the tank they wont see each other very often because puffers are very aggresive fish. Dwarf puffers are freshwater fish. they do not do well in brackish. the Green spot i have is brackish and will be trasitioning to brackish in the next couple of months as she grows. once they get to about 2 inches they need to begin being in low end brackish water. I hope you choose to do puffers as they are ALOT of fun and are always up to somthing. I am never bored watching them good luck!
