I just did some research on my next project: a planted tank. I would like to construct a biotope aquarium, but just found out that many of the common fish in planted tanks dont live with plants. Lets take the Pterophyllum scalare. It doesnt live among plants. Maybe a few, but not as many that you guys have in your VERY nice planted tanks
I had allways thought that South American biotope was full of plants. But no. Fine sand, roots and rocks. I thought the same thing with the asian biotope, but no. No plants.
So i would be very happy if you guys would tell me, if any fish comes from places with so many plants.
Again, i would like the fish to as healthy as possible.
