Purchase Chili Rasbora?

I live in a state with not very many options for fish stores. I am trying to stock a 5 gallon spec V with some other than a Betta. I tried three endlers but it didn't go well and I have soft water. Does anyone know a good place to order chili rasboras? Any other stocking suggestions?

Thanks!

Wet spot is the best online fish supplier I have ever dealt with great shipping and communication.

I also like wet spot's fish offerings. But be careful because they have a 50$ shipping fee, which is kind of sticker shockery. I think that's the general rule for online retailers though, shipping fees tend to be on the high spectrum.

You could also try msjinkzd , aka Rachel O'Leary. I haven't had the chance to order from her yet (but one day!), but she's a pretty nice person and has excellent knowledge on many nano fish.

When you say that there are not many options for fish stores, is it that you're surrounded by petcos/petsmarts? Or is it that the fish stores are rather far away? As an example, I'm currently in Arkansas, so I have to drive an hour to get to the good LFS, and they do custom orders, especially if you've built up a reputation with them. I was able to ask mine to get me in some fish during this pandemic, and then pick them up the next week.

So many fish/plants/inverts to keep, not enough aquaria.

I am stuck with Petco and PetSmart. We have one lfs that I asked and they never got back to me. 😞

Good to know because that was one of the options I was looking into.

LOL! I had to go 2 1/2 hours one way last fall to pick up habrosus cories in Minneapolis. I'm sure I'll be back to that store in the future.

Good local fish stores are few and far between these days. When I opened mine in 2007, there were 6 others in the Asheville area, not counting box stores. Today there are 2, one is marine only and the other has never been open when I've come by during their business hours. If I want to shop for fish I drive to Charlotte (2+ hours away), and haven't been able to do that since COVID. I am so resistant to buy fish online, even though all chili rasboras look alike -if ID'ed correctly.

Nothing good happens fast in an ecosystem.

aquahuna is ok. They have very cheap shipping and and their prices are good. The catch is that the fishes are very young (small). Expect their listed size as optimistic (max size or average size - some will be smaller). They will honor their DOA policy (unlike most vendors they give you a few days - read the policy - most vendors is condition of fish in bag on first hour of arrival). Shipping is cheap and fast. The fishes are ok (not the absolute best but certainly not the worse - i'm talking about perfection of the fish not health). The two shipment i've received have been disease free. Their stock level change quickly and weekly.
