Fish jumped out of the tank

Hey all, so my flying fox just jumped out of of my aquarium. Luckly my housemates partner was jusy sitting infront of it, with my housemate quickly trying to put it back in it jumped again but fell behind the tank. I quickly opened the cupboard and grabed it. The fish looks really stressed now breathing quickly but what worries me its tail fin is ripped on the bottom. Will this heal?:/ I grabed him a little and tried to remove the dust on him too. Thanks

In most cases, fish will regrow their fins and tails, often looking just as good as the originals

All you need are guppies, and snails...

Tail fin damage will repair if minor. What you need to watch for is that it doesn't become infected with secondary bacteria.

I would also examine why the fish keeps jumping out: Water quality? Bullying?

Ok thank you! He does get chased sometimes by my red tail shark but the tank is big enough for them to stay apart, I put the lid back on now as well.
