Betta ich recovery

My blue betta came down with a bad case of ich months and after chemical treatment failed to work, I cranked up his heat to the mid-80s in 2-degree increments like I read online.

It worked and the ich went away.

But he’s been incredibly pale and thin-looking for the last two months after the ich went away. He looks so thin I feed him almost daily when I would usually feed every other day.

He’s in a 10 gallon by himself. Sponge filter, 78 degrees.

Can I do anything else to help him recover and get his colors back?

He’s an alien betta from Frank’Bettas so he’s much smaller than normal bettas.

Thanks.

Hi @NotCousteau

I'm really late to this, but wondering how your little blue guy was doing? Hopefully mo betta.

I was going to suggest live foods if available, or frozen brine.

I didn't realize Frank's fish were so small. I've got one of his - not from him directly but from one of his US vendors.

Here's a pic of him resting on a hammock.

Best wishes.

Hi I have another idea..

From the site
https://aquariumscience.org/index.php/10-2-2-ich/

Maybe he's not thriving because of internal parasitic /bacterial infection?

I've found this site to be useful, especially when trying to diagnose/treat.

He's so cute hope he gets better soon.

And now I'm super late to the game! Your fish is beautiful.

He's fully recovered and super healthy. He never fully regained his original color, but his body and fin condition are great. I'm not sure what the origin of the ich was, but he was in a tank with other fish, so I don't blame Frank.
