Thinking about mollies

I have a 20long, and right now I have some cories, a couple guppies, and a betta. The betta will be moving to another tank soon, I would like to have a few more guppies, and I'm considering what else I'd like. I am looking at a nice trio of lyretail cremesicle mollies from a local place, but I'm a little worried that they might get too big for the 20long, especially if they start to have fry. I love how bright they are, but will they be a good fit for my tank?

I wouldn’t, to large, need at least a 29gal or 40 breeder. Also their water requirements are at opposite end of spectrum than your Cory need.

Thanks, that's what my gut is telling me too. I get distracted by new pretty fish

As @DaveKS mentioned, they prefer different water parameters, but maybe you already have Molly-preferred parameters and it's actually the Cory's that aren't in the best place. Mollies like the higher end of GH and pH readings. In fact, IME, they are far more sensitive to this than other live bearers, whereas the Cory's will tolerate Molly parameters. What are your GH and pH levels?

Yep swordtails, Celebes rainbows, knight goby also with plants that are more tolerant towards the brackish side would be better setup for molly, they are one of the more finicky species to keep I will agree.

Some of the wild sailfin species are simply stunning though.
