Picked up some Black Corys (Corydoras schultzei)

Thought I'd share. They were a PITA to find, and a bit pricey but worth it imo. Sorry for the picture taking skills, the tank is a bit dirty from the previous fish in the QT.

No close up shot? I like their fins. Super pretty.

@Raith I'll try, but the tank only gets window light and today's a super cloudy day

Very nice corydoras. They look to be in good shape ( fins nice, color good, eyes clear, stomach not concave) and juveniles. Still growing- make sure get daily feedings of high quality foods.
Makes me want to get some-more... only have 3 varieties right now, and usually have much more than that.
I hadn't seen that variety yet in anyone's tank., - thanks for sharing.

180 g. low tech w/ wild South American cichlids, corydoras eques, and African Congo riverine tetras.
60 g. low tech w/ F1 Alenquer pair /Stendker "Tefe" discus and wild Altum Angels
30 g. low tech w/ Wild Tucano tetras
30 g. low-tech African Biotope

@Discusluv, thank you. I'll make sure to get better pictures when possible. Driving a state over was totally worth it haha

Yes, they're very interesting - I'd like a closer look at them too - never seen them before - they would seemingly be a good discus tank-mate.

@discuspaul, not sure how common they are in Canada, but over here in the US, I only found 2 sources for them. One being aquabid for 70 a piece. They sure are nice, and no one really has them

There were 2 bags of tank bred ones (6 per bag) up for auction at last Friday's Brooklyn Aquarium Society meeting. I would have bid but I've been messing around with a group of Gold Laser cories for the last few months.

Where the hell was Biggles when you needed him last Saturday?
